american horror stories- The house on black pin road

When Emma accepted a job as a night caretaker for an old mansion in rural America, she thought it would be an easy way to earn money. The house had been abandoned for over fifty years after the mysterious disappearance of an entire family. Locals warned her never to stay after midnight, but she laughed off the stories.

On her first night, everything seemed normal. The wooden floors creaked, and the wind rattled the broken windows. At exactly 12:13 a.m., an old grandfather clock, which had no hands, suddenly chimed thirteen times.

Moments later, Emma heard soft footsteps upstairs.

She grabbed her flashlight and climbed the dusty staircase. Every room was empty except the last one. Inside, she found a child's rocking chair moving slowly on its own. A faded family photograph lay on the floor, but the faces were scratched out.

As she turned to leave, a whisper echoed through the room.

"Don't let them see you."

The flashlight flickered. Shadows stretched unnaturally across the walls, forming human shapes. One by one, they stepped forward without making a sound.

Emma ran downstairs, but the front door wouldn't open. Every window had vanished, replaced by solid walls. The clock chimed again.

This time, the whispers became screams.

The shadows surrounded her. Their hollow eyes reflected her terrified face before everything went completely dark.

The next morning, police arrived after neighbors reported strange noises. The mansion was empty.

Only Emma's flashlight was found lying beside the silent grandfather clock.

Weeks later, a group of urban explorers entered the abandoned house. In the upstairs bedroom, they discovered an old family photograph resting on the floor.

This time, there was one extra person in the picture.

A young woman wearing a caretaker's uniform.

No one could explain how she had gotten there—or why her terrified eyes seemed to follow anyone who looked too closely.
