Emma lived alone in a small apartment. Every night before sleeping, she checked her phone one last time. One rainy evening, she received a text from an unknown number.

"I'm inside your house."

She laughed nervously, thinking it was a prank. She locked her bedroom door and replied, "Very funny. Who is this?"

A few seconds later, another message appeared.

"Look under your bed."

Her heart started racing. She slowly got out of bed and switched on the lamp. The room was silent except for the sound of rain tapping against the window.

Trying to calm herself, Emma knelt down and looked under the bed.

Nothing.

Relieved, she stood up—then her phone buzzed again.

"I said LOOK UNDER THE BED, not the bed."

Confused, she looked around the room. Then she noticed something strange. The closet door, which she always kept closed, was slightly open.

Her hands trembled as she walked toward it.

Another message arrived.

"Too late."

At that exact moment, the closet door creaked open by itself.

The next morning, Emma's neighbors reported hearing a scream during the night. When the police arrived, they found her apartment empty.
