The hidden trail beyond the waterfall

 

Everyone in the village believed the waterfall marked the end of the forest. Legends warned that anyone who crossed it would never return. But 17-year-old Kiran couldn't ignore the curiosity that had followed him since childhood.

One cool morning, he packed a backpack, grabbed a map, and began the climb. After hours of hiking, he reached the roaring waterfall. As he stepped behind the curtain of water, he discovered a narrow stone path hidden from the outside world.

The trail led to a breathtaking valley untouched by time. Towering trees stretched into the sky, colorful birds flew overhead, and crystal-clear streams sparkled in the sunlight. Strange flowers glowed softly, lighting the path like tiny lanterns.

As Kiran explored deeper, he found an ancient stone gate covered with mysterious symbols. In its center rested a small compass made of silver. The moment he picked it up, the compass needle began pointing in a direction no ordinary compass ever could.

Following its guidance, Kiran reached a cave where an old explorer's journal lay safely inside a wooden chest. The journal revealed that the valley had been protected for centuries to preserve its rare wildlife and natural beauty.

Kiran realized the greatest treasure wasn't gold or jewels—it was the untouched world around him.

He returned to the village before sunset, carrying only the journal and the magical compass. Instead of revealing the valley's exact location, he shared its message: nature is a treasure that must be protected, not exploited.

Years later, people still wondered what Kiran had truly seen beyond the waterfall. He would simply smile, look toward the distant mountains, and say, "The greatest adventures don't always change the map—they change the person who follows it."
